CSTEP stands for the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program.  CSTEP is a program sponsored and funded by the New York State Department of Education. It is an initiative that aids in the success of students in preparing for careers in the scientific, technical and health-related fields.

This program is open to New York State Residents based on specific eligibility requirements that are dictated by the New York State Department of Education.

Here is what CSTEP can offer students:

• 1 on 1 advising with CSTEP staff
• Workshop/professional development/networking opportunities
• Some financial support for academic resources
• Access to a lending library
• Conference experience

On the application, there are designated sections for new and returning applicants. We encourage both Syracuse and Binghamton campus students to apply.
